ARTIST'S STATEMENT

"The art on display is the physical embodiment of my spirituality...

Tamboril is a celebration of life dedicated to offering the best in tasty foods, cocktails, ambiance, and art.  Our cuisine is Nuevo Latino which is best described as American foods with a Latin/Caribbean twist.  Our contemporary décor is modern and provides a feeling of warmth, coziness, and space. Tamboril hold up to 150 people.  The cocktail menu has captivating and intriguing drinks made with the very best ingredients and fresh fruits. Tamboril stays abreast with cocktail trends: vegetables, herbs, jams and sauces.  It keeps its patrons coming back for more with its mango mojito and reinventing the classic side car cocktail.    We cater to our patrons needs for culture and art by transforming our space into an art gallery. Our elegant wall space displays art work from up-and-coming artists who showcases their work at our monthly art shows.  The art shows have taken on a life of its own.  Our patrons look forward to see who will be featured as the next monthly artists; of course they also look forward to the free wine.

The concept was conceived from CPA turned restaurateur Eduardo Polanco who wanted a place that offered hospitality and five star treatment that his mother always gave to every visitor who entered their home.  To sum up the concept, Eduardo always says “It’s about the social the experience”.  Eduardo believes in the total experience of the patrons; from the moment someone walks through the door to when they leave. “It’s not just the food and drinks.  It’s the combination of food and drinks with décor, exceptional service, and sensational entertainment.  When you get the right combination then you have created a social experience that patrons will enjoy and want to come back to.”  That is the goal that Tamboril is committed to deliver everyday.  It is evident that Eduardo is committed to the total dining experience by hiring Executive Head Chef Yvette James. Yvette brings with her great credentials, her passion for pleasing all palates, and years of experience in the restaurant industry.  Yvette infuses elements of all Caribbean cuisines into the menu to create dishes that will be totally original but at the same time have something very authentic about them.”  Yvette has several dishes that patrons love:  Rum-scented grilled shrimps, Bacalao cakes, Tofu fiesta, Grilled flank steak with sun dried chimichurri, Seafood Paella, Calabaza soup, creations/ dishes are. The experience would not be complete without Chef James decadent and delectable desserts; specifically her mouth- watering bread pudding and her scrumptious carrot cake.  The team at Tamboril aims to provide the best in Nuevo Latino cuisines, provide exceptional service and an atmosphere of sophistication and style.
